What’s This All About?

We couldn’t be more excited that you want to try rock climbing! This two-hour course is designed for individuals with little to no climbing experience or people who might need a refresher course. Learn to Climb will set you up with a solid foundation for top rope belaying.

The goal of this class is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to pass G1’s top rope belay test.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Tie your figure eight knot
  • Tying into your harness
  • Belay using the PBUS method
  • Climbing commands and safety checks
  • Risk awareness and risk mitigation

Please bring along

Any climbing gear you have and be dressed in active clothing. If you do not have any climbing gear, no problem, all gear is included with this course.

Registration is required. Participants must be at least 14 years old. Minors must have a waiver first signed by a parent or guardian.

This class has a minimum participant requirement. The minimum participant requirements must be met within 24 hrs prior to class date. If you are the only one signed up for the class, the class may get rescheduled.

Minimum class size: 2 persons
Maximum class size: 6 persons
